A Quick Tour on Navigating the Site

 

What software do I need to take classes here?

Class materials are provide in pdf format and/or video format (mp4).  For the written materials you will need Adobe Reader.  For videos, you will need Adobe Flashplayer or another software that will play mp4 videos once you download them.  It is recommended you keep the most updated version of reader and flashplayer on your system to prevent any issues in reading pdfs or viewing videos.  

What’s the difference between prerequisite and suggested courses?

Prerequisites are required courses that you must have taken prior to that course.  Teachers rely on students knowing the basics from previous courses when they prepare their class materials.  

Suggested courses are just that–a suggestion.  It is not required, but highly recommended that you take the courses listed prior to taking that particular course.  However, if you feel you have a strong background in that subject you can take the course without having completed the suggested courses.

When will my workshop be available?

Self-Paced workshops are available as soon as registration is complete.  After you are logged in, navigate to the grey bar at the top of the site.  Hover your mouse over “Your Class Materials” then click “Self-Paced”.  

Current Workshops are available on a class schedule.  Please see the sales page or the site calendar for information on when your class will post.  You will find a welcome message within the week prior to class beginning.  

How long will my class materials be available? 

In truth, no one can promise forever when it comes to providing online class access.  Creative Passion prides itself in being upfront and honest. Most importantly we want to be known for keeping our word. We promise that the class materials will be available for your access as long as we can feasibly keep them there.  In the event they need to be moved or taken off the internet you will be given a minimum of three months notice.  

How does registration work?

When you purchase a class you are registered for the site, the forums and the gallery all at once.  There is no need to register separately for any of these areas of the site.

What is the upload size for the gallery?

Photos can be no larger than 800x800px wide and the file size can not exceed 1000kb.  

What are your customer service hours?

You can contact us at any time through our contact form.  While we pride our self on our customer service and most inquiries are answered within hours, our official customer service hours are:  Weekdays from 9 am to 5 pm.  (We are in the Pacific Time zone)

How do I get my class materials onto my ereader/tablet/smartphone?
